Fools, if you take Brad Pitt and Angie Jolie out of the equation, would Mr & Mrs Smith have been just as popular? Or, for that matter, good? Fox is willing to bet that title recognition minus big pay talent equals smiling wallet, at least according to the latest online gossip. Plus, tabloids have been predicting Brad and Angie's split since day one...
The folks from NY Mag's Vulture are posting a report from an anonymous and undisclosed source (in other words, might be complete BS) that says the studio is mounting an origins film on the Smith story around a couple this time named Jones. Film would see the twenty-something spies in training being matched on a fake marriage upon graduation.
This thing could very well be a Dumb & Dumberer-type dud, but if it is to work, which youngish couple would do the trick? The first who says Kristen Stewart & RoPat gets an atomic wedgie!
