LEGO film get's a name, a plot, voices...
... and some very cool special guests.

Hey FOOLS! The LEGO film is probably my most anticipated movie period. LEGO is extremely popular in my house and directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have directed two of my favourite films in a long time in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and 21 Jump Street. The combination of the two has got me way too excited about the film. Also reports have been that the film with contain LEGO characters that LEGO has the IP rights to already (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Spongebob, Toy Story are just a few) and the film will look like it was filmed in stop motion using LEGO and characters will be restricted to the physical restraints of LEGO pieces. If you can't tell I am sold! On top of that animation studio Animal Logic will be providing the animation and I think Animal Logic do some of the best looking animation out. Their work on The Legend of the Guardians was phenomenal.

Today from Variety comes some very cool pieces (no pun intended) of news. The first is that the film will be called LEGO: The Piece of Resistance. The second, which is the plot, gives more clarification of why the film is named such. The film will be centered on a character named Emmet. Emmet is "an ordinary, law-abiding, Lego mini-figure who is mistaken for the most extraordinary MasterBuilder. He's drafted into a fellowship of strangers on a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the universe together." Emmet will be voiced by Chris Pratt who was seen in The Five Year Engagement but if that plot doesn't sound cool enough I have saved the coolest news for last. Variety have also said that Will Arnett has been cast to voice LEGO Batman and Lord and Miller are hoping that Channing Tatum will be cast to voice LEGO Superman!

You have no idea how much I can't wait to see this film. I think it will be one hell of a film. But you'll have to wait until 2014. Either way get excited people it's going to be good.
