Cloud Atlas Trailer
Looks epic
Where do I start with this Wachowski project? This looks amazing ,scary, funny, stupid and epic in one fell swoop. I watch this trailer and I am incredibly impressed by the visuals and the talent involved but I am also left with a sense of confusion that google cant help with. I have looked up the synopsis for the story of Cloud atlas and I know that each story leads into another but I worry about how the Wachowskis will handle this. We all know that they are smarter than all of us and if they do a Matrix Revolutions on us than we will leave this film thinking why the hell was Tom hanks everywhere?
I am sorry but I no longer have the faith in the Wachowskis as I used to. They seem to be taking the route of George Lucas and never directly directing again. This worries me as they release 6 minute trailer in hopes that you will understand better. This also means that the studio is just as worried as I am. This film will also have condescending narration I bet.
Here is what my homegirl Wiki had to say “The novel consists of six nested stories that take the reader from the remote South Pacific in the nineteenth century to a distant, post-apocalyptic future. Each tale is revealed to be a story that is read (or observed) by the main character in the next. All stories but the last are interrupted at some moment, and after the sixth story concludes at the center of the book, the novel "goes back" in time, "closing" each story as the book progresses in terms of pages but regresses in terms of the historical period in which the action takes place. Eventually, readers end where they started, with Adam Ewing in the Pacific Ocean, circa 1850.”
