Sinister Redband trailer
Very scary and effective
I thought the original sinister trailer looked scary but this one caught my attention because everyone was saying how damn scary it was and after watching it I have to clean my pants (the back, not front) and agree. This looks damn scary and now does the even scarier thing of raising the hopes for the film. We all know that all mainstream horror films of late have the same quality as a game to film adaptation but I constantly raise my hopes for the genre. I hate gore as a main ingredient in horror. It should always accentuate the horror. The horror exists in the lead up to the gore. I could go on and on but I don’t want to rant and rave.
Check out this great trailer to the new horror film sinister. It’s use of silence and imagery is what makes a good scare. Hopefully the film is directed with the same expertise as the trailer. Ethan Hawke looks good in it and even though he may just be paying off a holiday by playing in the mainstream he is actually coming across as interested which is rare for indie actors. The plot to sinister is this “A true crime novelist (Ethan Hawke) struggling to find his next big story, moves his family into a house where the horrific murder of an entire family took place. But after finding a box of home videos in which other families are also brutally murdered, his investigation leads him to a supernatural entity that may be placing his own family in harm’s way”
